When Pepi left us for doggy heaven, Alarna turned cherished memories into a series of illustrated e-books about him, beginning with Hello Pepi: A Toy Dog Is for Real.

How Pepi’s Stories Began

Written in 2012 and published on Amazon, the Pepi e-books tell funny, warm, and uplifting stories about a little toy dog and his fur parent. At the time, Alarna had no experience with marketing or promotion. While the books sold a small number of copies and received heartfelt reviews, they were eventually lost among the many ebooks available online.

Written in Verse, Illustrated in Black and White

What remains is a collection of gentle, character-led stories that celebrate toy dogs and the joy they bring into our lives. In honor of Pepi’s colouring, all illustrations are created in black and white, giving the books a timeless feel reminiscent of classic picture books. The simple verse style continues to resonate with readers of all ages.

Giving Back in Pepi’s Name

Ten percent of all proceeds from the Pepi e-books will be donated to an animal shelter or charity, with updates shared as this initiative moves forward.
